This has got to be the most busy and tiring month for me. Not only do I have finals next week and a pile of homework each night. But I also have three weeks full of performances lined up for my choir. It's nonstop work and I'm exhausted. That picture is my madrigal dress. For those of you who don't know what a madrigal is let me look up the definition for you. Madrigal- a part-song for several voices, especially one of Renaissance period, typically arranged in elaborate counterpoint and without instrumental accompaniment. Originally used of a genre of 14th-century Italian songs, the term now usually refers to English or Italian songs of the late 16th and early 17th-century, in a free style strongly influenced by the text. Basically we perform 17 songs in front of people in church while they enjoy good food, music, and even a play. By the time it's all over I'm exhausted, but I can't go to bed yet. I still have homework to do. I usually don't get to sleep until around midnight. Tonight is the last night for madrigals and we have a sold out performance. So wish me good luck. Alright I won't be on here for a while, so Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, and Happy New year. See ya in 2016.
